Joyful Medical Transportation LLC an ambulatory service provider is looking for:

Ambulatory Service Specialist in New Jersey.

    For this position, you must to meet the following requirements:

  • Driver’s license: Have a valid New Jersey driver’s license or commercial driver’s license (CDL optional)
  • Background check: Pass a criminal background check
  • Fingerprint test
  • Drug testing: Undergo random drug screenings
  • Good driving record
  • Training: Complete additional training, such as CPR, First Aid, defensive driving, and sensitivity to passenger need
  • Education and/or Experience: Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two (2) years in the field of Developmental Disabilities is preferred. Once obtained, CPR, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogen certifications, Individual Rights, and UI/MUI training must be maintained.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: Must be courteous and professional in appearance and manner.
  • Must be familiar with computers, word-processing software, fax machines, and copiers.
  • Must be able to convey the scope of services available through the program and agency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail is required.
  • Must also have good time management skills with strong problem solving capabilities.

Duties

  • Transport individuals within designated timelines from origin to destination for medical appointments,as assigned.
  • Carry out the transportation responsibilities assigned to the company and/or program in the Individuals’ Individualized Service Plan.
  • Complete routes to ensure that they are both effective and efficient on a regular basis and as routes change.
  • Complete all required forms, reports, and documentation.
  • Complete and review all billing and timesheet documentation to ensure that it is completed thoroughly and correctly and submitted timely to the designated representative.
  • Ambulatory Service Specialist (ASS) will use the company’s vehicles and adhere to all agency and state Ambulatory Service Specialist regulations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the current local, state and federal roads shortcuts rules, regulations and expectations and ensures that these are all met.
  • Monitor and maintain the maintenance of vehicles per current rules and regulations to ensure that current standards are met and the vehicles are safe to operate.
  • Abide by all Company’s safety policies and state and federal transportation regulations.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with supervisor, colleagues, staff members, individuals supported and outside agencies.
  • Attend continuing education sessions necessary to maintain required certifications.
